Hello everyone,

Today we will talk to you about our environment.

So okay, we admit that we still use plastic bags for trash bins which we get from our supermarket while buying our groceries and we still don’t recycle our garbage like you’re supposed to do so.  However, last year we took a big step in reducing our bottled water consumption by investing on a Water Filter/Purifier so that we can use our tap water for drinking and cooking purposes. Not only does it reduce our budget for buying bottled water, but it’s actually a healthier option for our bodies and our environment. (We don’t want to go into details since there are lots of articles in the net for that which you can check for yourselves and also who knows more than us).

You know how you see the pictures of all bottled waters stuck up on the ocean and fishes, birds and all kind of animals get tangled up and ends up without food /dead and you say to yourself “Oh, kawawa nman” and then proceeds just do nothing about it. So instead of just feeling sorry and then doing nothing, we can help save our environment by using some simple steps.

For us Christians, this passage is enough to let us think about this.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Lastly,m+d recommends this video from the Story of Stuff Project (http://www.storyofstuff.org/movies-all/story-of-bottled-water/).  It’s cool to be an advocate for our environment.

lots of love,

Hello everyone,

For today, let me just say that m+d loves books and magazines. While my love affairs with books are quite eclectic (see photo above), mack prefers magazines for his research and study. We are also quite a sentimental collector, which means it’s difficult for us to part with stuff because of some memories attached to this. So you can just imagine how difficult for us to organize and to restrain ourselves from adding more to the ones we already have (just a hint: it involved jumbo boxes, fights, boxes under the bed yet to keep). Hay nako, kung may room lang kmi just keep all our extra stuff God willing maybe in our future dream house na.

But anyway, this is just an introduction for the next thing we will be recommending to you. Books and magazines , yey!...  From time to time, we will be featuring books and magazines that we have read and has been inspired with may it be a classic novel, Christian books, lifestyle magazines, tutorials, non-fiction, etc.

So stay tuned and we hope that through this, you will also start your own love affair….

Lots of love,

m + d

p.s. Just a note for parents, if your kids see you reading, they will more likely grow to be a reader also. Let’s be a good example right, … Ibaba muna ang mga playstations and wii, turn off the tv and computer, and spend time to read.
